Meal Prep School

Get Ready for a Fridge Full of Restaurant-Quality Food
Learn how to plan, shop for, and prepare a realistic week of meals with group instruction and private hands-on coaching in your own kitchen.
Meal Prep School is a four-week hybrid experience designed for busy people who want to eat at home more consistently but feel overwhelmed by the planning and preparation involved. Founding cohort coming to Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Show Up Overwhelmed. Leave Empowered.
You don’t need more recipes. You need a flexible process for turning those recipes into a week of meals that actually works and feels good!
If thinking about cooking for your family feels like a headache and you find yourself feeling stuck, you are in the right place. I know how defeating it feels to meal prep for an entire Sunday, only to end up exhausted, bored with the food, and even throwing out food before you had the chance to eat it.
You can arrive unsure, stressed, and without a plan and you’ll leave knowing how to create one.
What You’ll Learn
The goal isn’t to follow someone else’s perfect meal-prep routine. It’s to create one that works in your life. By the end of the program, you will know how to:
-
Plan a realistic week of meals around a menu structure
-
Select synergistic recipes
-
The art of ingredient overlap without feeling bored.
-
Learn a prep structure that feels quick and seamless
-
Build an efficient grocery list
-
Sequence your preparation to save time
-
Use your refrigerator and freezer strategically
-
Store and reheat food successfully
-
Principles of mindful eating
-
Adjust your plan when life changes
-
Feel confident in your ability to repeat the process weekly!

How Meal Prep School Works
1. Learn the Foundations
We’ll begin with a relaxed, three-hour workshop at Triple Spring Studios. Settle in with coffee, matcha, refreshments, and light bites while we explore the foundations of efficient, flavorful meal prep in the barn—or outside, weather permitting. You’ll create your first weekly plan, watch a live kitchen demonstration, and taste chef-prepared dishes that prove meal prep doesn’t have to be boring.
2. Try It at Home
The following week, you’ll shop for and prepare the plan you created. This gives you the opportunity to discover what works, what takes too long, and where you need additional support.
3. Review and Refine
During a private 30-minute video call, we’ll discuss your experience and review the next plan you created. Together, we’ll simplify the menu, reduce unnecessary ingredients and steps, and develop an efficient preparation sequence.
4. Prep Together in Your Kitchen
I’ll join you in your home for approximately four hours of hands-on coaching. You’ll prepare your revised plan using your own kitchen, equipment, and storage while receiving personalized guidance in real time.
5. Make It Sustainable
We’ll finish with a private 30-minute follow-up to evaluate what worked, troubleshoot any remaining challenges, and leave you with a meal-prep system you can confidently repeat on your own.

Meet Your Instructor
I’m Sara Aguilar, a personal chef, recipe developer, and MPH Nutrition and Dietetics student at UNC-Chapel Hill Gillings School of Global Public Health.
My background includes professional personal-chef work, culinary and pastry training, recipe development, and years of helping people turn food preferences and practical constraints into meals that work in real life.
I created Meal Prep School because I want to make nutritious, delicious, home cooked food more accessible for those who are short on time. My goal is to help you develop the practical skills, confidence, and personalized system necessary to make meal preparation work in your own home.
It gives me so much joy to help people move from confusion to ease with organizing their meals.

FAQ's
Do I need to be an experienced cook?
Not at all. The program meets you where you are. You only need a willingness to participate, practice, and try something new.
Will you create a meal-prep plan for me?
You’ll create your own plan using the flexible structure taught in class. I’ll coach you through the process, answer questions, and help you simplify the menu, reduce unnecessary work, and build a realistic preparation sequence.
Because I am not yet an RDN, the program does not include individualized nutrition advice, medical nutrition therapy, or treatment for medical conditions. Its focus is culinary planning, organization, cooking skills, and execution.
Where will the individual meal prep coaching take place?
The three to four-hour cooking session takes place in your own kitchen, where you’ll prepare the plan we refined together. I’ll work alongside you, assist with preparation when helpful, and share the techniques and shortcuts I’ve developed through my work as a personal chef.
Can members of my household watch?
Yes! Members of your household are welcome to observe and take notes with advance notice. The coaching will remain focused on the enrolled participant, and the session will stay within its scheduled four hours.
Are groceries included?
Food and refreshments served during the foundations class are included. You’ll purchase the groceries for your in-home session using the plan and shopping list we reviewed together.
What areas do you serve?
The founding cohort will serve Chapel Hill, Carrboro, and select nearby areas. Any additional travel fee will be discussed and approved before enrollment.
How many participants will be accepted?
Each cohort is limited to 15 participants because everyone receives individual planning support, private in-home instruction, and personal follow-up.
Join The Waitlist
Waitlist members will receive priority access to enrollment in the order they join. New cohorts are expected to begin every one to two months. Information and registration info will be sent to you!
